Good Morning Sunshine…

Good Morning Sunshine

As I look for new themes, I’m also considering a name change. This is a huge step, and one I’m not sure I want to take.
There are so many themes, names, colors, text styles, and fonts. could this be more than I’m willing to take on, or even have time to take on?

Am I crazy? Why change something that is working? The question is…..Is it working, or could it be better? We all want to be the best we can be, so if it could be better, why not?

A lot of questions without any answers. Or are the answers to be revealed? Maybe I should consult some trusted friends. Someone who will be honest, and tell it like it is!

Ok, so all my trusted friends (you know who you are), would you please weigh in on this…….

Sante Fe, New Mexico

Standard

After a long train ride from Oceanside train station, to Sante Fe, New Mexico we are now here!  I can’t tell you how much fun it was talking to new people, and getting to know some very interesting characters!    This time the people were all over the map in terms of background,  looks, etc.  From a railroad man to drifter, Sante Fe great-grandmother artist, to strange hippy couple.    I was in seventh heaven, I love new people! I hope and pray I can remember the faces so I can sketch them.

Sante Fe weather is fabulous! While everyone at home in California is sizzling from heat, it is mild – warm with a little breeze, and jam-packed with creative energy. The clouds are unbelievable….they actually look like they are out of one of Cathy Carey’s  paintings!  OMGosh, I’m so excited to be here, & today starts the first day of our week-long workshop.

Last night all of the artists, and a couple of husbands, had a little cocktail party so we could get to know each other.  I must say there only four of us taking this class, and that makes for a really great week.  Everyone was so nice, and from such diverse art backgrounds.   I wish all of you could be here to experience this incredible place with us!

It’s 8am and we are heading out for a little breakfast before the 9am workshop starts.  Have a fabulous day, I know I will!

I love that you have stopped to read my blog, thank you.  I hope you enjoy….

Day18: Aloha Spirit

While each of you are trying to figure out what to write on Day Eighteen, I have to be out-of-town.  I needed to leave at O dark hundred, won’t return until later this evening, and after driving all day, I   didn’t have  any time, or energy left to follow instructions…..I hate instructions anyway!

This is my way of fulfilling a writing assignment that I never knew.  In is’t place, maybe a little inspiration would be great for us all, it never hurts!

Day Seven: Is Patience A Lifelong Lesson?

Day Seven: Is Patience A Lifelong Lesson?

YES!

For me I think it is!  Just when I think I’m a kind, loving, patient person I’m pushed  to the edge, and I lose it, taking away my self respect!    Are all of us like this, or am I one of the chosen few that constantly has to work on being patient?  I do so well for several days…. then….I  can’t help myself.  When I am patient, kind, and understanding, I feel like I’m giving myself a gift!

Is being tired something that takes away patience, or is it just plain old being ornery?  One can only guess.  Each and every day I have to remind myself to take a breath and be patient!
