With so much negativity in the world, we don't need any more rants on how bad everything is, or trying to find out who's to blame for something. What we do need are more people looking for answers, or finding solutions for the things that aren't working. Focusing on the positive, rather than the negative!
There is a universal law that simply goes something like this…….
What you give out, you get back! Some might call it karma, some the law of attraction. Whatever you choose to call it, it works like this…..
If one always finds fault, is grumpy, & continually has bad days, I'm afraid this is just what will happen day after day.
But…
If we tell ourselves, it's a beautiful day, life is good, & today I'm making lemonade out of lemons! The day will most certainly be a brighter, happier day. And, if we do this each and every day, pretty soon each, & every day will get better, & better! We could call this, getting up on the right side of the bed.
Each morning I go over, in my mind, what I am grateful, or thankful for. If you think about it, there are always going to be people who are better off than I am, are younger, prettier, smarter, have more opportunity, travel more, & buy more things!
And, before you start saying, "Karen can say that, she doesn't have all the problems I have!" I want you all to know that my life hasn't been perfect by a long shot, I have physical limitations that I deal with every day, but I don't focus on any of that. Instead I believe all I have been through, & am going through make me the person I am today. I focus on what is good!
On the other hand, there will also always be people worse off, have zero opportunity, are not as attractive, are unable to function as well, & have nothing! My heart is heavy for those people, I wish I could help change that for them!
This is why each day is a blessing to me, I am so grateful for my wonderful family, & my dear friends. I'm grateful for what I am able to do, & the things I have. I have more than many, not as much as some. How much is really necessary for happiness, & is happiness gained from having things, or is it an inside job? Something I've spent many years on before the light came on, & I reached an understanding!
Our world needs all of us to be thankful, to focus on the positive, to look ahead with hope, & avoid being critical of each other.
Diversity is what makes us all so interesting. Our homes will be happier, our children will grow up with a better outlook on life, & we will all be contributing to a healthier world!
