It takes little effort to be creative, but I think that many people say, “I have no talent,” and rarely attempt to create art for the joy of the moment.  They have not given themselves permission to loosen their inhibitions and play!   Have you ever asked, “What am I going to do today?” while wishing some magic genie would pop out of a bottle and transform a boring day into a more-enriching one?

"What are we going to do today?" “What are we going to do today?”

About Old as Dirt & Proud of It!

Welcome to Older Than Dirt, and Proud of It by Karen Samenow. I named my blog Older Than Dirt because that's where I am in life. You may find art or music, or inspiration included because, I'm an artist, a spiritual medium, and I'm always learning more and exploring. I hope you find us interesting. My focus for this blog is to bring a little levity to well seasoned women. Sometimes it actually may help!

  1. This is one of my favourite sites too. I find the posts fascinating and inspirational. This year I am going to take more time out for art. The shed beckons – I miss it. 😄

Have a wonderful week Karen and I hope the weather is kind to you.

It is raining here after an intense heatwave which is lovely. 😄
    Cheers,

    • Hi to both of you! Thanks so much for the ‘thumbs up’ though neither of you need encouragement – you’re both highly talented, and your work stands on its own w/o my help or nudging!

I am pleased to be using faster internet right now in the Guayaquil (Ecuador) airport, where I am waiting on a friend who’s plane is an hour late. There’s loud alegre music conflicting with my thought process, but it’s nice to be in one place and making a slight dent in the wordpress world of friendships ans support.

      Thanks again!
